free audio editer

I just need a simple audio editing software so that I can cut files and stuff. There's A part of a file that I trance really good with(Or I think I do) but there's an awakener at the end i want to cut off so I can use that file as an induction. suggestions?

Audacity is very effective for simple edits like that

I will confirm audacity is amazing. Make sure you get the MP3 extension though. Not to hard to do and tutorials are all over the web.
