IRC room

sorry that this may not be in the right place, seeing as it's not help with a file, but i figured that this was closest to the help forum.

could anyone tell me the server and name of the warpmymind chat room on IRC? the client on the chat page doesn't work for me and when i tried mIRC i found that i'd lost the server settings.

Tom, you did better than I did. I never had the server settings. I started entering settings at random...and they didn't work. Next I looked at several websites and found the following. (I haven't used mIRC in several years; so it's a new one on me.)

I went to a channel that I was already programmed for.
Then, rather than going into a specific chat room there, I keyed in "/server[leave a single space] irc.hypnonet.net" and hit Enter. It took me automatically to a random server, this one in the UK, that handles the hypnonet. Next I typed in "/join [leave a single space] #Warpmymind." Do not type in the quotation marks! :-) You probably know better than to do that, but I wouldn't. On computers, I do exactly what the instruction books say...and they're some lousy instruction books out there! Hope this works for you.

u should download trillian sandy, u don't need to do that bs with that program, its freeware on downloads.com

i've managed to log into the hypnonet area using a irc chat client app, but i haven't figured out how to get specifically to warpmymind's.

how do i do this?

thanks! i think i'm in now. i use a mac, and the only free irc app i saw as "fire' on download.com. i don't know if it's supposed to, but it doesn't show who's in the warpmymind room unless i add their names (which would require me to look on the java app on the site itself). i'm still not totally sure i'm in though.
