Been Having problems as of late

For some reason I seem to not be entering a full trance when I have been listening to the files. I am aware of what is being said, but also at the same time I am entirely aware of what is going on around me to the point of even knowing what type of vehile is driving down the street (that happens to be about 50 or so feet away). Have tried both the induction and the deepener files and even the suggestible file as well. I am wondering if it is indeed that due to the fact that I tend to pay attention to everything that is around me and also have a higher than average intellegence if that is in some way hindering or helping? Any input would be helpfull.

Unless you're actually being distracted, don't worry about it. So long as your thoughts and attention are focused on the file, observing other things is okay.

I have had the sme problems as this when I first started. I found that if I use noise reduction headphones that I get a better response to the files. Try and give it time I takes awhile even with the help files.
