Jock Summer: Day 51

by Aelfreich

Still no frakking hot water. My mother's boyfriend was supposed to fix it. HA! It is to laugh.
So, tomorrow, a plumber is being called. I hope.

On a more salubrious note, while I cannot swear yet whether Rocky is actively helping me at work, hypnosis certainly is; that is to say, training with a trance state is certainly useful when taking burgers from the freezer, putting them on the grill, pushing the button, waiting for the *DING*, removing the burgers to the holding cabinet, taking burgers from the freezer, putting them on the grill...
Ye Thrones and Powers, if I hadn't been building up the Jock as a bulwark of stupidity, I'd have quit or shot myself by now. So, YAY STUPIDITY!
Meanwhile, the stupidity of others still vexes me. Maybe I should watch less news, more Sportscenter. It's a sad day when I have to hide behind Rocky or listen to Nancy Grace(that women is a blasphemy against the very concept of Juris Prudence, but never mind). I'll take Rocky any day, though.
Later, bros.

You're pretty much hit the crux of the problem of being intelligent: you can't help look at others and the state of the world and get frustrated. You wanting to hide behind Rocky and his persona of ignorance and "stupidity" is perfectly understandable. In fact I'd say work on that a bit more and you might find it even easier to cope with these things. It'll be great when you can slip into your Rocky persona more easily so that you can ignore others stupidity more often. Maybe you'll also find it quite slippery to try and climb of it again. It's easier being dumb, I think. Wishing you all the best. Maybe you should let Rocky have a go at being more assertive when it comes to problems. He can knock some skulls together and get things done. That's me assuming that Rocky isn't the type to take shit from people though.

Just out of curiosity, how does Rocky feel about the "stupidity of others?" Does he find your new job challenging? It is kinda' complicated for someone with a double digit IQ.

Your split personality seems to be progressing nicely. Watch yourself, lest you become subsumed by your own creation, Dr. Franken-freich.
