  • Subliminal Canine
Ambient woodland sounds punctuated by the sounds of beying and howling help to hide a subliminal track designed to help the listener identify as a canine (dog, wolf, etc.). Binaural effects have been added to help induce light trance. Not for use while driving or other activities which require diligence.

I have two small question: With most of the subliminal-type files around this site, usually you can hear the 'hidden' track. Is it normal to not be able to hear anything at all besides the binaural/ambient noises for this file? Also: How does the subliminal track help the listener identify as a canine exactly? *curious*

Thanks for asking, CWolfCW. First, MY subliminals at set at just below the threshold of conscious perception. Most 'subliminals' on the site are actually 'superliminals', which many seem to prefer as they can review the suggestions consciously. I've made such for this site, and you'll see me use quotes around the word 'subliminal' in the files descriptions. However, this is an example of TRUE subliminal. Second, the 58 suggestions that went into the file are oriented toward canine behavior: recognition of a pack alpha, drinking water by lapping it, marking and recognizing marked territory, loyalty to the pack, and so forth.

Ah, thanks for the info - cleared up why certain files were dubbed "subliminal" despite being able to clearly hear the suggestions. Also good to know what kind of suggestions are in this recording too despite not being able to hear it, heh. Definitely favouring true subliminals vs. superliminals as far as these kinda things go though. Easier to listen to since there's no words to actually pick out easily. :)

I like how it sounds, a mix between a relax tape and Halloween sound effects. I wonder how effective subliminals are in general, but here's hoping for my desire for it to work helps. CWolfCW's right about having discernible words being distracting when its just suppose to work in the background.

Yeah, I have to admit - I do have Halloween on the brain. I also imagined that the file had the listener going out into the woods on a rainy night, following a creek downstream, crossing it and coming back up the other side. Perhaps I envisioned the listener as a newly infected lycanthrope? There is a distinct possibility. Damn, I love Halloween! Oh, and sorry about the hootie owl near the end. One listener complained that it was too loud sounded too much like a cat. ;)

I know you\'ve already answered in general, but I\'m actually a little curious about more in-depth what kind of suggestions are involved in orienting someone toward canine behavior/ identification. I\'m really quite curious, actually. Would it be prodding to know specifics?

@RavenThorne Its hardly a complete listing, but my journal describes the effects I have experienced using the file.

@Dogboy Thanks, I\'ve read through and am really interested about this file now. I\'ve listened to it a few times previous, but wanted to know what it would do first. I was a little disappointed when the script was no longer shown as an option, as I wanted to buy a paid account and download the script when I could. However, I\'ll follow your entries as often as possible to see, and if the script returns I\'ll download it.

As per your requests, a copy of this \'script\' may now be found at http://warpmymind.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=41944#41944. I hope you enjoy - my files, more than anything else, express who I am.

Wow, although the effect sounds really good, but I when I tried this file out, the description here said 17 minutes, my laptop says 6 hours, when I really played that file, damn, 54 HOURS!!! This file is definitely best being used when you\'re sleeping at night...
