Because they’ve already been pointed at with judgmental fingers and demanded that exact same question, with the exact same carping capitalization of inflection, disgust paraded as pity, “Why would ANYONE want/do/look like this…?” a thousand times over, directed at a thousand different aspects of one’s nature which they neither chose nor can choose to change. Better to run off and join the nighttime circuses where we paint dreams out of our nightmares and are always welcoming and grateful of another hand to pick up a brush. When you are dressed as a human, people endlessly explain how to be a proper human. But when you are dressed as a clown, only other clowns might have something to say about it—and all real clowns know crafting objective masks for subjective ideals is the only true absurdity. And should someone presume to point, whatever the reason, the best of clowns take great delight in squeezing the flower pinned to their lapel and bursting with joyous laughter and a cumshot to the face in place of water.

What I meant was that I really couldn\'t care less about people\'s preferences (unless I was clinically dead) but that you have to admit it SEEMS pretty far-out from the more \"mainstream\" point of view.
