Perhaps you should go about getting him back more slowly, covertly. Instead of getting him to openly rebel (breaking down doors to get his things and getting out of the house), you might start by helping him building resistance to his sister's hypnosis. Build a secret 'room' in his mind where he is always yours, no matter what other conditioning he receives, while he stays obedient to his sister on the surface. (this compartmentalising of the mind is actually a natural tendency people have to deal with trauma, so you can build on a faculty that is already there). Once his devotion to you and independence of his sister is strong enough inside the 'room', you can let down the walls, let the 'real' him take over the 'surface' him in the rest of his mind, and then let him make his escape. Of course you must make sure his sister doesn't know about this secret 'room' for this to work. I hope this idea helps!
