Day 1-Starting hypnosis

by BDweller

Having never been hypnotised before , i was a bit sceptical at first. No longer.

However, I'm having trouble achieving trance.I get nervous, lose focus and when suggested anything, even on induction countdowns ,I feel a rushing expectation that makes my heart race, and trashes any relaxation i might have achieved.

Could it be wanting it to work is preventing me form getting in the mood?
We'll see...Meanwhile I'm listening to Inductions at least 3 times a day,every day.

I have tried a whole bunch of them and I have developed some "taste" for the voices and the style.

I read something on forums about a member named Blink.
I was getting very bored of the ineffective(for me and my suggestion anxiety of course)imperative inductions where you are constantly told what and how to feel.
Many people were praising his works and wishing he had made more."Lets give it a try, then" I thought.

Wow! I really liked the BasicInduction file.

So far, its the file that has brought me closest to trance.

Deeply relaxed yet focused on the words being said and just letting them go unburdened to my thought.I admit thought that I didn't get suggestible at all it was really a good experience.

Later i have found may other good files, appealing voices(to me)good production(no BG noises, coughs, excellent audio quality etc)and I already got a play list of my favourites on my phone player(where i listen to them).

All in all, I'm still uncertain and plagued with doubt but, I have made a resolution today.

It might take as long as it will, but I'm not giving up until at least I experience a  mind blanking trance.
Then maybe I could advance into files with  other effects although I'm not quite interested in them yet.

After having that blissful relaxation, no trigger, behaviour or perception modification appeals to me more than experiencing the feeling of completely letting go.

I just had a brief and incomplete taste and I might be already addicted to it.

In response to my sceptical mind i have started trying files that have simple effects or suggestions(no triggers)like

Cardigan's Itching-Foot

I have never wanted my feet to itch so much.
It feels like if it took even a slight effect, it would ease my mind and let me advance properly.

I will keep trying until my foot really itches.
I will keep listening to inductions.

I WILL achieve trance.

another character that i can do without to put it in the nicest possible way that's nice that so many ppl like that file , like all the others it was useless to me though , how nice to always hear so many ppl getting something that i have yet been able to even comprehend......

I haven't myself reached any results yet The level of relaxation i cited is nothing special, really. Mostly being relaxed and loosing track of time. However that's something I did myself, without hypnosis if any kind, when i wanted to one out and forget my problems for a while. I have always had hypertension, and I'm fat(loosing weight, went on diet and didn't delete facebook but I DID hit the gym) So basically even if I'm relaxed my heart rate is always high and it echoes and it is heavily felt to the point of not letting me breathe as deep as i would like. So don't worry, I'm on the same boat regarding results plus,in my case, I have it really hard to let go.I am very sceptical and analytic. I'll post an entry every day since today, noting progresses and thoughts. And, finally, I too feel envious of people claiming results, claiming to have it easy(working on few to one listen). I'm envious of people who are able to trance and just give up consciousness, but that shoudn't discourage anyone. In my case, I think any additional effort i might have to do is well worth it .

Forgot to say.

I too felt that there  wasn't being any progress, or that i wasn ot achieving anything by repeatedly trying and failing.
So I started this journal, to record every change, every experience and hopefully, any progress.

I encourage you and anyone having difficulties to write a journal.

From my point of view it helps in motivating and not losing track of any success you might have had
even if its minimal, you will look back and see that, you indeed advanced towards results, even a little, but something nonetheless.

well you're still on another plain of understanding about this then i am
also you really don't need to do a daily update , there's also always the edit button.....

also i suggest next time you try looking up if ppl have a page related to themselves on the same site of communicating before asking about it......
(translation i do already have one......)
