If you've got one file to work, it might be a good idea to keep listening to that one. When I first started, I listened to quite a few different files for a few weeks each... that's probably a bad idea. If you keep listening to that CD you made every day, maybe it will start working like you want after a couple of weeks. Are you listening before you go to bed, all night, or first thing in the morning? I find that if I leave a CD on all night, I'm more susceptible right after I wake up in the morning. So I wait until the file I'm most focussed on plays before getting up to stop it.
