For those of you that have been emailing and asking Me if everything was alright after that storm the east coast received, the answer is yes. We just lost power for a few days. Such a different world without power, it's insane just how different it is. But other than having to live without power for a bit, nothing else went wrong. The weather since then here in NY has been quite lovely for this time of the year actually, it's more like spring weather at the current moment. I'm not complaining.

Baby news, what is it? Boy or girl?
Well we were supposed to find out Wednesday. Went in and the baby wouldn't give up its gender, even after an hour of trying. After that I was frustrated, because "ultrasounds aren't done to find out the gender but for medical reasons" says My OBGYN when calling to let them know I couldn't find out the gender and requesting to schedule another one soon. After saying that, they said no they couldn't (or rather wouldn't) schedule another one because insurance won't cover another unless medical issues arise. After that I of course said I'd pay out of pocket for it, I mean it's only $100-$200. But in order to get an ultrasound ANYWHERE around here, you NEED to have your OBGYN send them a script and permission to get another one, which My OBGYN refused to do even though I said I'd pay out of pocket for it. I mean really? Fuck these dumb rules.

Then I got lucky with some really nice people, the place I went to originally for it. They basically ignored the rules, said fuck it, and let Me come back Yesterday (Friday) for a second one.

And guess what?!?!?!?

Well nothing too exciting since it looks like this baby is going to be a stubborn brat just like it's mother, its legs were crossed again. So after I left, I scheduled an appointment with a place that does 3d/4d ultrasounds, that's like an hour and a half away and doesn't require your doctors approval. But that isn't until the 28th. After doing that though, the same ultrasound techs called Me back again and said they felt bad we still couldn't tell the gender, and so they scheduled a third one for this coming Wednesday.

Hopefully this baby won't keep being a stubborn brat. Anyway, on another note it is nice to see a medical profession that is here to actually help others and isn't so business oriented - since they are the only ones that would do that without a drs scripts, did it not only once but twice, and aren't even charging Me for it. Because of that I of course purchased some gift cards for the office manager who allowed this and the ultrasound tech who was trying forever to get the baby to move and unspread those legs, I guess you'd call that paying it forward, or back, whatever they deserve it either way.

What do I think it is? I've thought it was a girl even before we tried to conceive. I think because the fathers child and I have been talking about a girl (already have her named) for at least two years or so. I personally don't care which gender it is, only reason I would want a girl is because I don't see any male names I like and girls have much more cute outfits when they are younger.
