demigraff's Recent EntriesTyping practiseby demigraff I need some practise in audio typing, if the leaflets at the job centre are anything to go by. As the files on this site are the only large library of speech I have access to, I decided to try typing some of them up.
I started with file 1, the Induction file. I tried to type as it was playing, but I kept getting left behind and having to skip things. The second time through, I tried to fill in the gaps, but often ended up deleting bits I'd typed before which didn't seem to be there in the file I was listening to.
Then, a third time through the file, it was mostly in order so I was mostly just correcting bits which I had mistyped or misheard.
It seemed like I'd pretty much got all the errors I could pick out at that speed, so I decided to ready through the script I'd typed at leisure, try to find out how accurately I'd been when typing at speed. What I found took me completely by surprise, especially the ending:
4
so deep and obedient
getting closer and closer to one
so obedient just listening and obeying as you relax more and more
fjust listening and obeying you relaX MORE & More FURTHER AND FURTHER DEEPER AND DEEPER
3
very deep and goig deeper
2
so deep and obedient
so very very listening to my voice
,feeling refreshed and awake
2 coming up further and further
3 waking up more and more refreshed and awake
for nearly there
5 you are awake feeling refreshed and happy
Now, to me that seems like it has a fair chunk missing. I tried listening again to find out how much of the body I'd cut out without realising, but I still can't remember it.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
And if this method is somehow making me vastly more susceptible to the files (certainly seems like some kind of trance, as I don't remember stopping typing at all), which file should I try next? I'm tempted to get the enchanted keyboard curse, and see if that has any further effect.
